Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-20
Noranne Hunter Collection (Noranne Hunter, trading as Noranne Hunter Collection) respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights. We don't operate from a public retail address — see Contact us below for how to reach us directly.
What we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we collect what's needed to fulfil it: your name, email address, phone number, and — for delivery orders — your delivery address. We don't require an account to check out as a guest.
We never collect or store your card or bank details ourselves — those go directly to our payment processor, PayFast.
How we use it
- To process and fulfil your order, and to arrange delivery or collection
- To email you an order receipt and updates about your order's status
- To respond if you contact us with a question or a return request
- To keep the records South African tax and consumer law require us to keep
We don't use your information for marketing unless you've separately opted in, and we don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed to run the store, with these processors:
- PayFast — processes your payment. We share the order total and your contact details needed for the transaction; PayFast handles your card/banking details directly and we never see them.
- Supabase — hosts our database and (where you have an account) handles login. Your order and account information is stored there on our behalf.
- Our courier, for delivery orders — just the name, address, and phone number needed to deliver your parcel.
Cookies
This site uses only the essential cookies/local storage needed to run your shopping cart and, if you sign in, your session. We don't run advertising or analytics trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as South African tax and consumer-protection law requires, and delete or anonymise other personal information once it's no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that's inaccurate or out of date
- Delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
- Stop using your information for a particular purpose
To exercise any of these, email noranneblu@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to South Africa's Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
